Tricia's Story.
Tricia Nardari is one of the longest-serving and most dedicated members of the HALO Air Ambulance family. With a 23-year career in aviation and emergency dispatch, including time as a 911 dispatcher with a focus on ambulance services, Tricia has a deep, hands-on understanding of how Alberta’s air ambulance systems operate.
Tricia has been involved with HALO and its predecessor organizations since the late 1990s, starting with the Southern Alberta MedicAir Society and Friends of MedicAir. She was part of the grassroots effort that first advocated for enhanced patient care and access to air ambulance services in the region—efforts that evolved into the HALO Air Ambulance Society we know today.
A current member of the Governance Committee and the Board Secretary, Tricia plays a vital role in supporting the organization's compliance, continuity, and strategic progress. Her long history with HALO, combined with her aviation expertise and dispatch background, has earned her the informal title of HALO Historian. She helps ensure that every step forward is grounded in the lessons and successes of the past.
Tricia is passionate about the future of HALO, particularly the vision of building a permanent home where all aspects of the program can operate under one roof. Her dedication is unwavering and rooted in the knowledge that HALO has already helped save countless lives and will continue to do so with the community’s support.
Outside of HALO, Tricia enjoys spending time with her active family and caring for her two senior dogs. She prefers to keep the spotlight on HALO rather than herself, but her humility and behind-the-scenes efforts are central to the organization’s success.
To Tricia, HALO is gritty, an organization built on perseverance, resourcefulness, and sheer determination.
“Thank you to everyone who has helped get HALO to where it is today. Whether you’ve donated funds, hosted a fundraiser, volunteered your time, or simply shared your story—your belief in HALO saves lives. We are stronger because of you.”
