Teri-Anne Bowyer

Vice Chair, Board of Directors

Teri-Anne's Story.

Teri-Anne Bowyer serves as the Constituency Manager for the Legislative Assembly of Alberta in Medicine Hat, where she wears many hats. Her work includes political advising, executive support, digital communications, website management, legislative research, and coordination with ministers at both the provincial and federal levels. With strong skills in relationship-building, communication, and strategy, she brings a broad and valuable perspective to her role on the HALO board.

 

Teri-Anne has built a career at the intersection of government, education, and community leadership. Her background includes roles as a Communications Coordinator, Department Head of Student Records with Edmonton Public Schools, and an Educational Trainer. She has served on numerous nonprofit boards and community organizations, demonstrating her deep-rooted commitment to service.

 

She joined the HALO Board of Directors in 2024 and was elected Vice Chair at the March 2025 AGM. Teri-Anne supports the Chair in advancing the organization’s mission and governance, while also contributing her expertise in government relations, strategic planning, and public engagement.

 

A long-time supporter of HALO, Teri-Anne was drawn to the organization’s mission to deliver lifesaving care across Southern Alberta. Having followed HALO’s story from its early days, she is proud to now play a role in its continued growth. She is especially passionate about the development of the program and meeting its infrastructure needs to ensure HALO has the tools and resources required to serve the region effectively.

 

Outside of work, Teri-Anne is a dedicated volunteer. She currently sits on three additional nonprofit boards and has previously held leadership and support roles in a wide range of community organizations, including sports, music, education, and mental health. She also homeschooled her children, an experience that strengthened her adaptability and deepened her appreciation for community-based support systems.
