Lisa Zumkeller

Lisa's Story.

Originally from southern Germany, Lisa moved to Alberta with her family at age 13. Growing up on farms in both Germany and Canada sparked her passion for machinery and operating equipment, which naturally carried over into aviation. From her very first flight, she knew the sky felt like home.

Lisa has been with HALO for over three years and also works as a contract pilot, flying utility and long-line bush operations in remote areas. She comes with valuable experience flying all across Canada and even as far north as the high Arctic, she has taken on adventurous missions such as flying a helicopter all across the US and Central America, where unique challenges shaped her skills and adaptability as a pilot. Her background in EMS shines through her passion and love for HALO and helping people, she gets to live that out by being part of the HALO family. 

Outside of aviation, Lisa enjoys traveling, (she has visited six of the world’s seven continents) and spending time with her horse Pablo, especially camping in the mountains during the summer. She takes great pride in her work with HALO, where being part of a team that saves lives and makes a difference in the community is deeply meaningful.
