On Wednesday HALO Funding Director, Paul Carolan visited Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge. With HALO-2 we weren’t able to land at the helipad in Lethbridge so with the addition of HALO-1, the BK, Chinook Regional became an option for HALO when responding to scene-calls in Southern Alberta or to assist with inter-facility transfers. To mark our first mission into Chinook Regional Hospital, HALO presented Nurse Educator Randi Knutson with a plaque. As a surprise Randi arranged to have Brenda Barva and Brock Fulkerth there. HALO-1 recently flew Rick following a bad traffic accident; Brenda is Rick’s wife and Brock is his son! HALO is always honoured to meet our patients, their family and friends! Rick is on the road to recovery and we hope to have him and his family visit us soon!
